Off season activities

Hi this is Bryan, just wanted to share a couple of cool things I have been doing in the winter while waiting for our sailing season to start up. I went ice sailing with Red McGillvary as he took me out on his ice racer boat named the “Red Baron”. We went very fast along the ice and I’m sure glad he knew what he was doing as your very low to the ice and you get lots of wind in your face. I have also joined a ski program put on by C.A.D.s (Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing) at Brimacombe ski hill. I am learning to use a Sit-Ski which has two ski’s under a chair that I sit in. I also have a small ski attached to each of my arms to help with my balance. I still need help to go down the hill and get on the chair lift but I’m getting better each week. Learning how to sit-ski is a lot like learning how to sail as you try to take smooth turns. I have attached a couple of photos. We would enjoy knowing what you have been doing with your time since we last sailed. We can post your story and pics if you have here on our website. You can submit to either Fletch at  or myself at hab4evr@gmail.com. See you soon on the water.
