Day 1 of Mobility Cup 2012, but just a practice day for Steve & Bryan. Mac Attack sail #82 is in great shape thanks to some fine tuning by Steve. With a short delay and a very cold morning Steve went out for his practice race, followed by Bryan in the afternoon. Both sailors had good success and each got in a couple of starts. Mac is operating very smooth. Good winds and lack of weeds had her moving well. With practice over – Steve, Bryan and Fletch all enjoyed participating in the opening ceremonies. A piper played as each province & USA athletes entered into an outdoor event tent, then we listened to greetings and speeches by local politicians, organizers and sponsors. Refreshments and good food were offered afterwards. It was enjoyable for all to mingle and get to know people from other clubs. Steve starts first tomorrow at 10:30 followed by Bryan at 2:30. Each hopes to get in two to three races. There are 21 sailors in Gold with 18 in Silver. Go team Sailability go! Results posted tomorrow.
