nepean2013Quinte SailAbility sent two sailors Claire Adams & Bryan Cuerrier to Nepean for the first of 4 regattas on our schedule. We wish the wind might have cooperated a bit more. Gold sailed first on Saturday and it was Bryan’s first Gold fleet race. The winds went from medium strength to non existent from race one to three. Bryan in a fleet of ten finished 10th, 8th and 7th in his three races. Alex companioned for Bryan and felt there was good learning and training opportunities for Bryan in the future. Claire followed up in the afternoon session for Silver fleet with winds being cooperative. Claire raced well averaging 4th place in her three races. Vanessa was Claire’s companion. Both racers were looking forward to move up in the placements on Sunday but the winds were not willing to comply and unfortunately both Silver and Gold fleet races were cancelled. Bryan finished with 8th place in Gold and Claire 4th in Silver….way to go Claire! Next regatta is in Point-Claire Quebec in three weeks at the “Coupe du Quebec”
