Our brand new Martin 16 “Rotary Way” almost here!

Rotary Way On Canada Day our new Martin 16 took shape in Montreal. The plan is for it to be rigged on July 2nd and 3rd and be delivered to us on the 5th.  We hope to take it to the Nation’s Cup Regatta in Nepean if it arrives on time.

Have a look at the pictures–you can see that the deck has just been attached to the hull. The excess fiberglass will be removed and the rub rail will be installed to cover the seam.  As well, a newly designed rear seating area will give the companion a more comfortable ride however, a full rear seat could be installed, if desired.

Since the hull number is 139, the sail number will also be 139. The boat will be named Rotary Way to honour the 3 Rotary clubs who helped fund the boat. They are Quinte Sunrise, Trenton and Belleville.

Stay tuned for updates and more pictures!
